The above is a photo of our Turkic hilt mounted on our Alchem Safeflex and flat tanged saber blades. This design was common in Asia and Eastern Europe from the 13th century on. These are made with an off white or black nylon or wood grip and steel guard and butt cap. Alchem flat tang blades have only a slight curve and come in a 34 1/2 inch length with a 5 1/2 inch grip (40 inches overall). Alchem Safeflex blades can be ordered in blade lengths from 30 to 36 inches. We also offer this hilt on our narrower Alchem rod tang blades which are available in lengths from 27 to 36 inches.
