The above is a photo of our Turkic hilt. The example on the left is mounted on our Alchem Safeflex blade, while the example on the right is mounted on our flat tanged blade. This design was common in Asia and Eastern Europe from the 13th century on. These are made with an off white or black nylon or wood grip and steel guard and butt cap and have a 5 1/2 inch grip length. Both the Alchem rod tang Safeflex and the Alchem flat tang blades may be ordered with a slight curve, under 1" offset, at no additional charge. More curve may be added to our blades for an additional charge of $10. Either blade can be ordered in lengths from 30 to 36 inches.
